2026 FIFA World Cup: Full List of Qualified Teams, Groups, and Key Match Dates

The full roster of 48 teams for the 2026 FIFA World Cup has been finalized following the conclusion of the qualifying playoffs. Iraq secured the final spot with a 2-1 victory over Bolivia in Mexico, while the Democratic Republic of the Congo defeated Jamaica 1-0. Europe’s last qualifiers included Türkiye, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sweden, and Czechia.

Hosted jointly by Canada, Mexico, and the United States, the tournament will be the largest in history, featuring 48 nations across 16 venues with 104 matches scheduled from June 11 to July 19. Argentina enters as defending champion after winning Qatar 2022, while Cape Verde, Curacao, Jordan, and Uzbekistan will make their tournament debuts.

The teams represent all six FIFA confederations:

  • AFC (Asia): Iraq, Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Qatar, Jordan, Iran, Uzbekistan
  • CAF (Africa): Morocco, Senegal, Tunisia, DR Congo, Ghana, Algeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Cape Verde, Egypt, South Africa
  • CONCACAF (North, Central America, Caribbean): United States, Canada, Mexico, Curacao, Haiti, Panama
  • CONMEBOL (South America): Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Colombia, Ecuador
  • OFC (Oceania): New Zealand
  • UEFA (Europe): Germany, France, Spain, England, Netherlands, Portugal, Austria, Belgium, Scotland, Croatia, Switzerland, Sweden, Türkiye, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czechia

The teams are divided into 12 groups:

  • Group A: Mexico, South Korea, South Africa, Czechia
  • Group B: Canada, Switzerland, Qatar, Bosnia and Herzegovina
  • Group C: Brazil, Morocco, Scotland, Haiti
  • Group D: USA, Australia, Paraguay, Türkiye
  • Group E: Germany, Ecuador, Côte d’Ivoire, Curacao
  • Group F: Netherlands, Japan, Tunisia, Sweden
  • Group G: Belgium, Iran, Egypt, New Zealand
  • Group H: Spain, Uruguay, Saudi Arabia, Cape Verde
  • Group I: France, Senegal, Norway, Iraq
  • Group J: Argentina, Austria, Algeria, Jordan
  • Group K: Portugal, Colombia, Uzbekistan, DR Congo
  • Group L: England, Croatia, Panama, Ghana

Mexico will host the opening match on June 11 against South Africa at Estadio Azteca. Canada and the United States will begin on June 12, facing Bosnia and Herzegovina and Paraguay, respectively. The top two teams from each group, along with the eight best third-place teams, advance to a 32-team knockout stage. The final is scheduled for July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
