At least three people were injured in a shooting Wednesday morning in the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement field office in Dallas, according to acting ICE Director Todd Lyons.
Lyons explained in a CNN interview that “preliminary information is a possible sniper,” noting that the three individuals were taken to a hospital. Their conditions have not been disclosed.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed on X that the suspect died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. “Details are still emerging but we can confirm there were multiple injuries and fatalities,” she emphasized.
Authorities have not identified the victims or clarified whether they are ICE employees. The motive behind the attack remains unknown as officials continue to investigate.
This is a developing story.
