Ischia Bravo, Candidate for City Council – District 15

As part of our political coverage for the upcoming 2021 Citywide Elections, LittleAfrica BronxNews has launched our Meet The Candidate video interview series.

We will interview candidates for city council in all Bronx districts. Candidates for citywide positions including Mayor, Comptroller, and Public Advocate will also be interviewed.

LittleAfrica BronxNews sat down with Ischia Bravo, a city council candidate for District 15 in the Bronx.

Ischia Bravo is a mother, community advocate, and lifelong Bronx resident. As a product of public housing, Ischia understands how housing influences every aspect of one’s life, from education and employment to health. Ischia is passionate about reforming New York City’s broken housing system because of her own lived experience and that of so many of her struggling neighbors.
