The incoming Trump administration is hiring! Positions are now open across various federal departments. Below is information regarding the application process and instructions. Any individual who wishes to serve in the Administration should use this application.

The President-Elect makes appointments for a variety of positions throughout the federal government; some require Senate confirmation, while others do not. Appointments that require Senate confirmation include the heads of departments and agencies, members of regulatory commissions, ambassadorships, judgeships, as well as members of numerous advisory boards.

INSTRUCTIONS

You will not be able to return to this application once it is submitted, so please be sure you have time to complete it in one sitting. Additionally, you will need to have a PDF of your resume to upload. Duplicate submissions will not be accepted, so make sure you review your information before submitting. A record of your application may be maintained while the President is in office.

CONSIDERATIONS

Service in the Trump-Vance Administration is a service to our Nation and a high honor, which demands both sacrifice and dedication. There are many factors to consider:

  • The time commitment is significant and the pace is fast.
  • Appointments and jobs in the Trump-Vance Administration are demanding and the application process is rigorous.
  • Most appointments are located in Washington, D.C. You will be required to relocate on your own time and expense.

Most applicants under serious consideration will undergo:

  • A full background check on the applicant’s history of employment, personal, travel, financial, legal, military, and educational background.
  • Background check and financial disclosure forms depend on the position. The types of forms you may be required to fill out are as follows:
    • National Security Positions (SF86)
    • Public Trust Positions (SF85)
    • Financial Disclosure (OGE278 or OGE450)
    • Most appointees are required to file financial disclosure statements annually during their term of service. You will also be required to file periodic financial transaction reports.
  • Consideration of Conflicts of Interest. Financial holdings and sources of income must be disclosed. Any conflicts must be remedied by divestiture, the creation of special trusts, and other actions.
  • Many appointees’ dealings with the Federal government both during and for a period of time after their service are significantly restricted to prevent possible conflicts of interest.
  • If Senate confirmation is required for the position you are nominated for, the applicable Senate committee may ask you to provide additional information.
