On Monday, September 9th, New York City Mayor Eric Adams tested positive for COVID-19. Reports say that prior to taking the test, Adams was feeling under the weather.

All of the mayor’s planned events for the day have been canceled or rescheduled. Adams is reportedly isolating in Gracie Mansion, with plans to continue working remotely for the city of New York.

There has been a COVID-19 surge this past summer, with the number of cases across the United States rising due to a new variant of the virus.
